Duration: 1 day
Aburi, on the Akwapem Mountains, is a small town about 40 km north of the capital, Accra. It has a very big, rich and
beautiful botanical garden founded in 1890 by the British colonial clerks as an agricultural research station.
There are two cosy restaurants in the garden. There are guides available to show you all the wonders of the garden.
On our way back to Accra we visit Abokobi's wonderful and historic settlement of the Basel (Swiss) missionaries in the
Gold Coast Era in the 1850's.
You will be back at your hotel before dinner.
This tour can be done in combination with the Akosombo Dam Tour.
